DRAUGHTSMAN MECHANICAL TRADE
SVK GOVT. ITI College, Latur
📚 Introduction

The Draughtsman Mechanical trade at Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Latur is a two-year professional skill training program under the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) aimed at producing skilled professionals in technical drawing, 3D modelling, and engineering design. The Draughtsman Mechanical Trade is a specialized vocational training program. This two-year course trains students to prepare detailed drawings and plans for machines, components, and structures using both manual drafting techniques and modern CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. Draughtsman Mechanical professionals are crucial in industries such as manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, shipbuilding, power plants, railways, and heavy engineering, as they convert engineers’ ideas into precise technical documents used for manufacturing and assembly.

This trade bridges the gap between theoretical mechanical concepts and their practical implementation through precision drawing and digital drafting techniques. It is ideal for students passionate about machines, design, and industrial drawings who aspire to work in core engineering sectors.
