📚 Course Overview
The MMV trade at SVK GOVT. ITI College, Latur is one of the most sought-after technical courses under the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS, NSQF-Level 4). During the two-year duration, a candidate is trained on subjects- Professional Skill, Professional Knowledge, and Employability Skills related to job role.
In addition to this, a candidate is entrusted to make/do project work and Extra Curricular Activities to build up confidence. The practical skills are imparted in simple to complex manner & simultaneously theory subject is taught in the same fashion to apply cognitive knowledge while executing task.
The MMV trade mainly consists of Domain area and Core area. In the Domain area (Trade Theory & Practical) imparts professional skills and knowledge, while Core area (Employability Skills) imparts requisite core skill, knowledge and life skills. After passing out of the training programme, the trainee is awarded National Trade Certificate (NTC) by DGT which is recognized worldwide.

🎯 Objectives of the Course
The main goal of this trade is to prepare trainees to:
- Troubleshoot Vehicle Engine components and ascertain repair.
- Plan & service Electronic Control Unit and check functionality, diagnose & rectify the defects in vehicle to ensure functionality of vehicle.
- Overhaul charging system, starting system.
- Troubleshoot electrical components of vehicle and ascertain repair.
- Overhaul, service and test Vehicle Air Conditioning system, its parts and check functionality.
- Drive vehicle following Traffic Regulations and maintenance of good road conduct.
- Make aware about Electric Vehicles (E.V) basic components and their working.

Every year 150 hours of mandatory OJT (On the Job Training) at nearby industry wherever not available then group project is mandatory.
Trainees of one-year or two-year trade can also opt for optional courses of up to 240 hours in each year for 10th/12th class certificate along with ITI certification, or, add on short term courses.

- Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) introduced the scheme “Dual System of Training” (DST) wef. August, 2016 session
- DST helps enable Industry linkages and provide hands on experience to students on industries latest/ updated technologies
- Objective of DST scheme is to enable industries and establishments to partner with Government and Private ITIs for conducting training programmes under high employability courses so as to fulfil their skilled manpower requirements
- The duration of DST may vary between 6 to 12 months
