Introduction

The Cosmetology trade at Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Latur is a one-year vocational training program under the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS). It trains students in beauty culture, skin care, hair care, nail art, and makeup techniques, combining traditional methods and modern cosmetology practices. Cosmetologists are essential in the beauty, wellness, and fashion industries, as they help enhance appearance, improve self-confidence, and provide professional grooming services. Objectives

The course aims to prepare students to:

• Perform temporary hair removal (waxing, threading, tweezing, bleaching).
• Provide manicure, pedicure, facial treatments, and scalp care.
• Create hairstyles, haircuts, and perform colouring/straightening/rebonding.
• Apply makeup (day, evening, party, bridal) with corrective techniques.
• Demonstrate saree draping, mehndi, and bindi design.
• Follow salon hygiene, sterilization, and disinfection standards.
• Perform yogasana and exercises for stamina and posture correction.
• Work effectively in a professional salon environment or set up a self-owned parlour.
